Poll Vault
COLUMBUS, OH - After losses to North Carolina, Florida and Wisconsin, you would have been hard-pressed to find anyone who would consider the Buckeyes the best team in the country. However, recent losses by UNC, Florida and UCLA have propelled the Buckeyes to a No. 1 ranking in the ESPN poll and the No. 2 spot in the AP Poll. While the Bucks have won 11 consecutive games, they've failed to beat a team yet this season currently in either top 25. This Sunday's battle against Wisconsin will likely decide one of the four coveted No. 1 seeds in the tournament, and a potential Big Ten crown (whatever that's worth this season). It'll likely be a tough ticket this Sunday at Value City Arena against the Badgers...I smell another "whiteout," yawn.

negative energy fella..get excited!
Yeah, i agree that they aren't the best team in the country. But this weekend will go along way towards proving people like me and you wrong.
so let me get this right, the team gets a high preseason ranking with a bunch of unproven freshman, racks up 24 wins against a bunch of stiffs, loses to 3 of the top teams in the NCAA and is considered the best team in the country. College rankings are so dumb.
You know what hater...i think you're a hater, for those hating words of hatred.
What a fantastic post. This webmaster has it together
Nobody is saying they should be number one, just someone be positive about there home state instead of negative articles constantly being written. Most teams are filled with unproven players because if there good they are gone after a year. Osu's only losses are against top teams on the road with a best player coming off injury. Your a moron hater
actually, espn/usa today coaches poll are saying OSU should be #1. I agree that OSU's losses were against top teams, but who were their wins against? Bottom line is that this is looking very similar to the football season, where OSU beats a bunch of bad teams, is overrated, goes into the post season as favorites and gets demolished by a team that has been tested all season, wait and see.
Haters....
UNC loss is thrown out due to Oden not playing, and Fla and Wisc were on the road. You can debate all you want if they should be #1 or not, but this team is undoubtedly a #1 seed, so what are we even debating.
According to Joe Lunardi they're not...
King nick...the Buckeyes shot the best they have all season against UNC, which undoubtedly wouldn't have happened if they were pounding the ball into Oden. Fact is, they lose to Wisconsin then no number 1 seed.
